Where the magic happens!
BWT Alpine F1 teams are spread out in France and the UK. While F1 engines are developed and designed at Viry-Châtillon (France), the chassis design, R&D, gearbox development and assembly plant is located in
Enstone.
Viry-Châtillon, a unique expertise dedicated to performance
Viry-Châtillon is home to Alpine's most iconic plant. Several of our competition-related activities take place at the French site. It is dedicated to the engine conception, assembly and testing for all F1 race cars. This is also where the power unit that will propel the Hypercar during the 2024 LMDh season is being developed.
The site also hosts the design and development of vehicles entered in various customer competitions. A precise expertise derived from racing, which is also found on the Alpine A110 range.
Enstone, where race cars come to life
The Enstone location hosts the plant where Alpine F1s are designed and assembled. For 30 years, first with Renault F1 and now with Alpine F1, Enstone has seen talented engineers working in more than 25 departments – from Aerodynamics to validation testing - to continually improve the performance of our race cars. This site is also home of the Ops team who brings support during race weekends, and The Alpine Academy, our program to support young racing drivers through their careers.
