Born in the French town of Limoges, Matthieu Vaxiviere started his career in 2010 in the welcoming world of Mitjet. before moving onto single-seaters, where he won the French Formula 4 title at his first attempt. He proved the breadth of his talents in the world of ice driving, clinching the Andros Trophy Electric title in 2016. before moving onto sportscar and Endurance racing, entering his first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017.
The rising star aligned himself with Alpine Endurance Team in 2021 and subsequently finished runner-up in the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship season. He has raced at Le Mans seven times, scoring one podium in the Hypercar class and two in LMP2 at the famous Circuit de la Sarthe.
He has an impressive track record, particularly in the European Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Daytona, where he’s achieved podiums in Oreca-chassis cars. After three seasons partnered with Alpine, the Frenchman will continue to fight for “Les Bleus” from 2024 onwards in an exceptionally competitive Hypercar field.
